As India reports rising number of coronavirus infections and death, hospitals and COVID centres have been struggling with the intake of patients. But many have been recovering at home. Experts are advising to stay at home until after consulting with a doctor.
But as people recover from the virus, there is a persistent issue that many are facing, which is weakness. Those who recovered from a mild infection take about two weeks to recover, while those with a mild or severe infection take about a month. Even then, weakness remains in the body. To overcome this problem, here is what you should do.
Fruits & Veggies
Fresh fruits every morning and juice can help in fighting the weakness as well as vegetables for lunch and dinner can help one feel more energetic. Having a diet that is rich in proteins and easy to digest is important for a speedy recovery.
To deal with respiratory issues, steaming has been known to help as it helps with congestion in the nose. It is also important to drink water, juice, or even coconut throughout the day.
Even after recovering, it is important to check one’s oxygen levels and maintain distance from others. Taking doctor-recommended multivitamins would also help one’s immunity. Performing lung-strengthening exercises can also help.
