Uttar Pradesh state government has issued an order to resume online classes in all educational institutions from May 20, 2021. The online classes were banned in UP till May 15, 2021, amid COVID surge. However, the instructions issued also said that this order will not be applicable to the Basic Education Department.
Uttar Pradesh government decided to resume the online classes so that the teaching activity should not get affected. UP students were facing a lot of problems due to the ban on online education. By looking at various aspects, Uttar Pradesh has decided to resume the online classes.
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh, UP 10th 12th Board Exams 2021, has been postponed for a month amid the rise in COVID 19 cases in the state. The board exams were postponed till May 20, 2021, and the decision is likely to be announced soon by the state government.
On May 15, 2021, the Uttar Pradesh government decided to extend the partial coronavirus curfew till 7 am on May 24, 2021. The decision was taken at a virtual meeting of the cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The state reported 12,547 cases and 281 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The state government has announced the partial curfew in order to check the spread of COVID 19 cases. However, the education of the students in the state will continue uninterrupted through the online classes from May 20, 2021.
