Try these amazing paneer recipes at home during the lockdown.

Sadly, all these tasks are just inevitable. While we can’t lend you a helping hand for cleaning and dusting, we sure can assist you with the cooking part.
We have been bringing you several hassle-free recipes that everyone can try. And today, we have ten amazing paneer recipes. Paneer might not be enjoyed much by hardcore non-veg food lovers, but it surely is the soul food for vegetarians. These recipes will ensure you devour it in the best forms.

Let’s begin with the easiest one. Heat oil in a pan. Add a pinch of cumin seeds and one chopped green chilli. Now, add one teaspoon grated ginger and saute until it turns golden brown in colour. Add one chopped onion and stir for 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle salt, red chilli, half teaspoon turmeric powder. Mix well. Now, add one chopped tomato and saute for another 3-4 minutes. Once the tomatoes turn mushy, add 150 grams of scrambled paneer. Mix all the ingredients well and cook for two minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti or bread.
If you love the combo of onions and capsicum, you will absolutely love this recipe. You will need five garlic pods, two onions, one medium-sized capsicum, two tomatoes and 200 grams of paneer. To begin with, heat oil in a kadhai. Add chopped garlic and saute for a few seconds. Now, add the sliced onions. Stir for two minutes and then add the chopped capsicum. Cook for around 4-5 minutes on medium flame and keep stirring the ingredients in between.
Add salt, red chilli powder as per your taste. Also, add half teaspoon turmeric powder and one teaspoon garam masala powder. Mix all the ingredients and then add chopped tomatoes. Cover the lid and cook for another 5-7 minutes. Make sure you stir the ingredients in between. Add one tablespoon cream and paneer cubes. Mix well.
Serve hot with roti.
METHI MALAI PANEER

This delicious recipe will remind you of the flavoursome ‘bahar ka khana’. But the best part is, it is super easy to make and does not even involve chopping onions and tomatoes.
Heat one tablespoon ghee in a kadhai. Add half teaspoon cumin seeds and two black cardamoms. Now, add two teaspoons of ginger and stir until it turns golden brown. Add one and a half cups of milk and mix the ingredients in the kadhai well. Cook for over five minutes and then add the paste of 10 almonds and 10 cashews. Sprinkle salt as per your taste and one teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. Lower the flame and cook the gravy for around five minutes. Now, add 250 grams of paneer cubes. And finally, add two teaspoons of kasuri methi (dried methi leaves).

Shahi Paneer is the comfort food you need to shoo away your lockdown blues. To make this at home, heat one tablespoon butter in a pan. Add two cloves, ½ inch cinnamon stick and two cardamoms. Now, add four garlic pods, 1-inch ginger and one chopped onion. Saute for a minute and then add three tomatoes. Add one cup of water and cover the lid. Cook all the ingredients on a medium flame for ten minutes.
Now transfer the ingredients into a mixer and blend to a smooth paste. Now, heat some more butter in a kadhai and add the paste. Add one teaspoon degi mirchi powder and one teaspoon coriander powder and give it a good stir. Add salt as per your taste. Now, add one tablespoon cream and paneer cubes (around 200 grams). Mix well. Shahi Paneer is ready to be devoured.

For your evening munchies, relish paneer pakodas. Take one cup of gram flour in a bowl and mix it with one and a half cups of water. Whisk the batter well to ensure there are no lumps. Add salt and red chilli, coriander powder, amchur and a pinch of garam masala. Mix well and let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut paneer into slices. Sprinkle salt and red chilli, and mix using your hands. Now, heat oil in a kadhai. Dip each paneer slice into the batter and then drop it in oil. Stir occasionally and cook until it turns crispy and golden brown.
PANEER FRIED RICE
Heat oil in a pan. Add two teaspoons of ginger-garlic paste and one chopped onion. Saute for 2-3 minutes and then add some chopped capsicum. Add salt and red chilli powder. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes while stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, saute the diced paneer cubes in oil in another pan, and keep aside.
Now, add some vinegar, soy sauce and red chilli sauce to the onion and capsicum. Stir well. Add the paneer cubes and cooked rice. Give all the ingredients a good mix and it is ready.
Scramble or mash around 150 grams of paneer using your hands. Add chopped onion, green chilli and salt. Mix well. Use this paneer mix as the stuffing for your regular parathas.

This one just had to be on the list! And to make this, cut paneer into big cubes. Coat paneer cubes with cornflour and then saute in hot oil. Keep aside.
Now, let’s move on to the Most Valuable Player of this recipe, the gravy. You will need two onions, half a capsicum, one teaspoon of chopped ginger, six garlic pods, two green chillies, vinegar, soy sauce and tomato ketchup for it.
Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger and chopped garlic. Saute for a few seconds. Add the diced onions and capsicum. Cook for 3-4 minutes on a high flame while stirring occasionally. Now, add two teaspoons of vinegar, soy sauce and tomato ketchup each. Stir well. Now, mix one tablespoon of cornflour with 200 ml water. Mix well and pour it in the kadhai. Stir well until the gravy thickens. Add salt and red chilli powder as per your taste. And then add the paneer cubes.
Relish hot with noodles or rice.
Here is another recipe for your breakfast. Prepare a batter with gram flour (besan), water, salt and red chilli. You may also add some chopped vegetables. Mix the batter well and make sure it has a thick yet flowy consistency. Add scrambled paneer and finely chopped onions. Mix well.
Heat oil on tawa. Put the batter and spread it in a gentle manner. Cook on medium flame until both sides are crispy.
GARLIC PANEER (DRY)

Cut paneer in big cubes and marinate them in a bowl with ginger-garlic paste, a bit of tomato ketchup, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala and soy sauce. Mix all the ingredients well and keep aside for around 30 minutes. Now, heat oil in a deep frying pan. Fry the marinated paneer cubes until they turn golden brown in colour. Enjoy with the dip or sauce of your choice.
